Larry Keating

Larry Keating, President and Chief Executive Officer

Larry Keating is founder, president and CEO of Keating Technologies. Larry is also founder, president and CEO of NPC. Since 1987 Keating Technologies has been Canada's leading branch outsourcing service to the high technology industry, bringing more than $2 billion in technology products and services to Canadian businesses and consumers, and a three-time national winner of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Award. Prior to Keating and NPC, Larry was country manager for a U.S. datacom manufacturer, regional manager for a computer products distributor, and spent his early business years at R.L. Crain.

Larry served as founding chairman of the Ministers' Technology Advisory Group for the Province of Ontario - an ad hoc committee offering vision and industry insight to the Province's technology strategy. He was also a member of the Chair's Advisory Council on e-Government, and currently serves as a technical advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the Aboriginal Computer Literacy Program.

Larry has been recognized as a Privacy by Design (PbD) Ambassador by the Information & Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. PbD Ambassadors advocate that privacy be built into systems from the outset, making privacy protection an organization's default mode of operation.

Larry is a speaker on a variety of topics including data security, technology trends, and economic opportunity through the adoption and deployment of new technologies. Formerly he was a keynote speaker at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and the PHIPA Summit. He blogs on privacy, data security and technology issues for the Huffington Post.

Larry is active on a number of advisory boards and committees, past chairman of the board of Vanity Software Corp, advisory member of the Seneca College Campaign Cabinet, the Markham-Stouffville Hospital Foundation, and past vice chair of the Premier's Technology Dinner.

Larry and his companies have supported a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations such as Ability OnLine, Operation Herbie, Yellow Brick House and Youth Unlimited. He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for public service, as well as the Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award created by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston for distinguished public service.

Bill Keating

Bill Keating, Vice-President, Technology and Operations

Bill Keating is co-founder and vice president, Technology and Operations of Keating Technologies for the past 30 years. Bill is a certified electronic technologist with more than 25 years of experience in information technology management and technical support services.

Bill and his team have handled more than 8.5 million multilingual help desk technical support & customer care calls along with over 1 million warranty and logistics transactions for some of the world’s leading technology brands, winning numerous performance and customer satisfaction awards.

Bill is a hard-driving entrepreneur who has proven his philosophy over the past two decades that a superior customer care strategy combined with high quality infrastructure and a spirited well-managed team leads to outstanding customer satisfaction. His passion including over 15 years of coaching minor hockey, with his four boys, leads his volunteer time and involvement in the community.

Dave Thomas

Alex Nobile - Vice-President, Sales and General Manager

Alex Nobile is responsible for the sales, marketing, business development and operational leadership of Keating’s portfolio of clients.  Alex brings more than 20 years of expertise in product management, business development and sales management in the Canadian Information Technology industry.  He has also had extensive success in leading teams to achieve significant growth on behalf of many hardware and software vendors.

Prior to joining Keating, Alex was the Country Manager at NComputing, a leader in providing desktop virtualization software and hardware to the education and SMB market in Canada.  Previous to NComputing, Alex spent 17 years at Synnex Canada where he held senior executive roles as Vice-President of Business Development for North America, where he was responsible for negotiating partnerships and key strategic relationships with new vendors and Vice-President Product Management, responsible for all vendor relationships within Synnex.

Alex brings significant sales and marketing expertise to the company and a positive track record of successfully developing and managing key relationships.  These skills, coupled with his extensive experience in the industry, will certainly contribute to the overall growth of the company, making him an invaluable asset to the Keating team.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University with a double honours in Economics and History.

James Wooley

James Woolley, Vice-President, Finance and Administration

James and his team manage all aspects of Keating’s administration, accounting, finance and reporting. James is a Certified General Accountant with over 20 years experience in the fields of finance and software/systems development.

James’ depth of knowledge in the areas of financial management & controls, costing, project management, and planning provide Keating Technologies with the information and guidance needed for successful financial stewardship.

James' prior experience includes several years as the Corporate Group Controller for a diversified group of companies including manufacturing, distribution, and real estate, along with several years with Honeywell/Bull Information Systems.
